The word "Peace" is used as we light a peace candle each Sunday for Peace in the World. The "circle" around the dove reminds us of our closing song each Sunday as we form a circle and sing the words "bind us together".

The crest is the official signature of The United Church of Canada. Designed by the Rev. Dr. Victor T. Mooney (a treasurer of the United Church), it was officially adopted in 1944 by the 11th General Council.
